PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Bob Curran is Vice President of Potomac Strategies International LLC concentrating on force modernization, command and control operations, joint doctrine, training, air defense issues, commercial marketing of defense firms, and competitor and competition analyses. His primary focus now is with foreign and domestic defense electronics firms and the marketing of their technologies to government customers in the national security community and to the prime contractors.
Before joining PSI, Mr. Curran was the Program Manager, Defense Systems at JHF, Inc., a small business concerned with supporting the aerospace industry. Mr. Curran had been associated primarily with developing, analyzing, and the implementation of marketing approaches for various military systems developed by Lockheed Martin. These include but were not limited to Corps SAM/ MEADS, Air Defense Tactical Operation Center, High Powered Microwave weapon system, Acoustic Sensor Radar, Elevated Sensor for ADA, Limited Effects Technology program and the Total Asset Visibility program.
After retiring from the US Army, Mr. Curran preliminarily was involved in the daily and long-range planning aspects of the company. Initially, he assumed responsibilities as project officer for Corps SAM weapons system concept development response. He was then instrumental in the development of the Small Business Innovative Research proposal concerning Modelling of Fire Support Suppression in Combat Simulations for which the company was awarded a Phase 1 and subsequently a Phase 2 contract from the Army Resources Laboratory- Human Resources Engineering Directorate, Fort Sill, OK.
Mr. Curran spent
20 years in army air defense operations while specializing in command and
control, logistics and doctrinal development. He also has additional
expertise in joint operations development, technology and information operations/warfare
assessments. As a member of the Army Development and Employment Agency,
the primary instrument for Army testing and evaluation of new fighting
concepts and relevant military technology, Mr. Curran participated in the
conduct of system and operations analyses, analyses of innovative concept
of operations, with particular emphasis on army air defense command and
control architectures and development of the control system for the associated
Air Defense Tactical Operations Center (ADTOC).
